Dr. Samir Shoughy completed two years of Postgraduate Fellowship in Uveitis at The Eye Center and The Eye Foundation for Research in Ophthalmology. He is currently an active member of The Eye Center Medical staff. He is an expert in uveitis and cornea/external eye diseases.

Dr. Shoughy participated in the initiation and completion of numerous prospective and retrospective clinical research projects in ophthalmology.

He received the first Saudi Ophthalmological Society (SOS) Poster Award on his paper entitled “Polymerase chain reaction in unilateral cases of presumed viral anterior uveitis.”

Dr. Shoughy received the International Ophthalmologist Education Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) during the Annual meeting of the Academy in 2015.

Dr. Shoughy is author of 18 scientific papers and, and co-author of Chapters in Ophthalmology books.

He is currently active in research, continuing medical education and clinical ophthalmology.
